Nouns

Latin Nouns are divided into five declensions. One recognizes the declension from the genitive singular form.

When the gender letter is bracketed, it indicates that most of the nouns of this declension are in the indicated gender but there are a few exceptions. Note the macrons are indicated with ^ over the vowels to indicate a long sound. î sound like eee ,û sounds like eu , ê sounds like eh, the long â and ô are but fuller sounds.
